"Flashpoint," like "The Bridge," was a unique venture for CBS in that it was created and produced for CTV in Canada, but then broadcast in the U.S. on CBS. This is similar to what happens with American TV in other countries. However, after 3.5 seasons, CBS terminated broadcasting the show, effectively cancelling it in the U.S.The ION network picked up the show, airing the remainder of season 4's episodes and the syndication rights to all the previous episodes. A fifth season was ordered by CTV, but I'm not sure if it will air on ION. I would suspect it will, though.

VERY good show, but it seems that even the star of the show wanted it to end. If your start doesn't seem happy with the show, then clearly the audience and network won't either. In any case, I enjoyed what the cast and producers did, and I think it's a shame that the show never found its footing.

Cool idea, no promotion and no audience. A celebrity and a regular person with the same name switch places. Rumor has it there are two finished episodes that didn't air, but no confirmation or word on which celebrities starred in those episodes. I still have the 2nd episode (Kathy Griffin) on my DVR that I have yet to watch... and that aired 10 months ago!
